Who Might Not Benefit from This Treatment?
Those with darker skin tones don’t react as positively to IPL photofacial treatment, as their skin tone can get darker and blotchier. This means those with an olive or brown complexion (from the Mediterranean or African descent) may want to opt-out of this treatment. Also, those on the acne medication Accutane should not undergo this treatment at least six months after taking their last dose. Pregnant women should also refrain from IPL photofacials during their pregnancy.
